Conference location
The conference will take place at the ETH main building (HG). It is located at Raemistrasse 101, just in front of the tram stop (no. 6) coming from the main train station.

Travel information
  • Travel from Zurich airport to the main train station
    Trains to city centre leave every 10 minutes and take about 10 minutes to reach the main train station Zurich HB.
    After reclaiming baggage, follow the railway station signs "Bahn/Railway" to ticket counters and machines. You need a valid ticket for 3 zones. Depending on your needs, you can buy a day ticket valid for 24 hours for all trams and buses. Trains to the city leave from platforms 3 and 4.

  • Travel from Zürich main train station to ETH Zentrum
    1. From tram stop "Bahnhofstrasse/HB", taking Tram no. 6 (direction Zoo) to tram stop "ETH/Universitätsspital". The journey time is about 6 minutes; or
    2. From tram stop "Bahnhofplatz/HB", taking Tram no. 10 (direction Flughafen or Bahnhof Örlikon) to tram stop "ETH/Universitätsspital" or Tram no. 3 (direction Klusplatz) to tram stop "Central" (first stop), from "Central" by Polybahn (departing every 3 minutes) to the Polyterrasse. The journey time is about 8 minutes.

  • Travel from Zürich airport to ETH Zentrum
    From tram stop "Zürich Flughafen, Bahnhof", taking Tram no. 10 (direction Bahnhofplatz/HB) to tram stop "ETH/Universitätsspital". The tram operates daily from 6 a.m to 11 p.m. with trams departing every 7 to 15 minutes. The journey time is about 30 minutes.

Meals information

Lunches will be offered at the Dozenten Foyer, located in the ETH main building (Hauptgebaeude). Vouchers will be distributed. They are included in the registration fee. Also included are two coffee breaks (one in the morning and one in the afternoon).

Network access information
Access to the World Wide Web will be available to all conference members. Please pick the WLAN called 'public' in your network manager. After opening the browser you will be redirected to a log-in page where you will be asked to enter your credentials. These credentials will be written in the readme leaflet that will be handed to you at the registration desk. In case you need to access your organization's remote infrastructure (for example to send/receive emails) we kindly ask you to set up a VPN client (IPSEC or PPTP).
